We specialise in small, exclusive wedding parties tailored to your exact requirements. When you book your wedding at The Old Vicarage you will have the whole house to yourselves – your own private country house party!

Since the house is yours exclusively, the style of each individual event can be completely unique. The design of The Old Vicarage is ideal for both summer and winter weddings. We have a beautiful Garden Room, which is perfect for drinks receptions in any weather, and a large stone terrace overlooking the gardens and croquet lawn.

The terrace can also be canopied along its full length, allowing full use of the garden setting whilst remaining covered. This makes the Terrace perfect for an outdoor evening party or a spring-time drinks reception outside for up to 75 people.

Inside the house we can accommodate 50 people for a formal wedding breakfast in one single room, or up to 75 people for a more relaxed lunch with a ‘house party’ feel spreading into all the ground floor reception rooms.

The grounds are perfect for photographs, with extensive lawns and panoramic views across open countryside.  Wander away from the house and you will find hidden dells and a romantic woodland walkway between the trees.

Larger numbers can be accommodated in a marquee attached to the building. Access is through the French windows of the main dining room, which open straight out into the marquee itself. This arrangement makes the marquee option suitable for events all year round.

The Old Vicarage is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies for up to 60.
The Marriage Registrar is able to help you plan an individual ceremony and we also offer you the facility to design your own format and ceremony content – arriving at a ceremony unique to you and your partner.

Recognising that you will want your menu to be individually designed, we have no set wedding packages from which you are expected to choose.

Your day will be personally supervised and planned by Michelin-starred chef, author and TV presenter, Tessa Bramley. Tessa will help and advise on menu choices, but essentially you can choose anything at all from our main restaurant menus.
